A Voyage of Discovery from the Galapagos to French Polynesia
Embarking on a splendid journey from the Galapagos Islands to the French Polynesias, I was afforded the incredible opportunity to board the Orpheus, a world-class, luxurious Jeanneau, graciously owned by Tristen and John. This once-in-a-lifetime adventure, spanning 23 days, allowed me to traverse one of the sailing world's most formidable distances. As a novice sailor, I was immersed in a sea of knowledge about self-sufficiency, understanding the systems ensuring the boat's safety and functionality, and mastering the art of daily culinary creativity. All the while, maintaining a harmonious social environment with the crew became a testament to the unity and shared experiences that such a magnificent journey can foster.
Navigating from French Polynesia to Fiji Aboard the Glorious Gladan
Embarking on a journey from French Polynesia to Fiji, I was welcomed aboard the beautiful Gladan, a Lagoon 45 Catamaran, owned by my esteemed friend and wise captain, Giancarlo. Our paths first crossed in the Galapagos in 2022, but a Pacific crossing together was postponed due to my need for US and French Visas. Fortune smiled upon us a year later, reuniting us on the island of Raiatea in French Polynesia, from where we set sail for an unforgettable voyage to Fiji. This journey unveiled profound insights, particularly regarding the imperative of making safety-conscious decisions while sailing. This island, a beacon of authentic Fijian happiness and culture, urgently needs international awareness and support for its local economy. During a one-month stay, I contributed to their vibrant community by providing video production and marketing consultancy, helping to share their rich culture and vital message with the world.

Nestled on Wailoaloa Beach in Viti Levu, Fiji, I had the privilege of assisting a charming, Fijian-owned small resort, where the ambiance was so welcoming it truly felt like home. Living by their heartfelt slogan, "Come as a guest and leave as a family," this locale provided a splendid opportunity for me to offer tourism consultancy to a family-owned business. In dire need of assistance in digital marketing and refreshing their visual content with updated pictures and videos, they welcomed my help. After a month of collaborative work, the business began to flourish with an influx of clients, bringing immense joy to the owners. My stay, enriched by their hospitality and exchange of accommodation and meals for my services, culminated in a wonderfully symbiotic experience.
